Presque Isle man arrested after robbing two Aroostook County banks

AROOSTOOK COUNTY, Maine (WABI) - A Madawaska man was arrested after robbing two Aroostook County banks on Monday.
Angel Montes, 35, was charged with robbery and violation of bail conditions.
Presque Isle Police responded to the Aroostook Savings Bank in Presque Isle just after 11:45 a.m. Monday.
Less than 30 minutes later, State Police responded to the Katahdin Trust bank in Mars Hill.
Police say they received information that the two robberies were related and arrested Montes shortly after based on a witness description.
Police recovered an undisclosed amount of money stolen from the banks.
Montes was taken to the Aroostook County Jail.
