Man killed, 2 others hurt in Downeast Maine home invasion
Police say the man was killed Thursday night
CHERRYFIELD, Maine (WABI) - One person is dead and two others are hurt after a reported home invasion in the Washington County town of Cherryfield.
Police were called to a home on Tenan Lane late Thursday night and found a woman with serious injuries, a man dead and another man with what they called minor injuries.
The woman was still in the hospital Friday afternoon and she is expected to survive.
Police say the man who died was Matthew Adams, 36, of Whitneyville. An autopsy was completed Friday morning and the medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.
Police were still investigating the death and home invasion Friday afternoon and had not announced any arrests or commented on a possible motive. They did say they did not believe there was any ongoing risk.
