WINTERPORT, Maine (WABI) - Two people are dead following a fire in Winterport Thursday morning.

Authorities say the bodies of two adults were found inside this Stream Road home.

Officials believe the victims are 29-year-old Ray Cornelison and 20-year-old HannahMae McAllister.

Emergency dispatchers received a 911 call just before 4:30 a.m. alerting them the home was on fire.

Investigators were on scene trying to figure out what started the blaze.

We spoke with Ben Jenkins.

He was with Ray Wednesday night at Speedway 95.

Ray was his crew chief.

“I didn’t believe them to be honest with you,” said Jenkins. “I went to Winterport and looked for myself and absolutely lost it when I saw the house. He was a guy that would help you no matter what you needed. He was always happy and never had a negative thing to say about anybody. If you needed something, he would be there to help you. She was always happy. She made Ray very happy. She was always smiling, and those two are always together.”

Authorities say they have no reason to believe foul play was involved in the fire.
